A rejection applies to one submission, not to you. Here is how to find the reason, what needs revision means, and how to submit again successfully.
You can submit again. A rejection is not permanent and does not bar you from verifying — it applies to that one submission. You start a new one with a better document or corrected details.
When a reviewer decides on your submission, they can include a reason, and that reason is sent to you.
A reason is optional. Reviewers can attach one but are not obliged to, so a rejection with no explanation is possible. If none was recorded, there is nothing further for support to look up — the practical next step is a fresh, clearly presented submission.
If your identity verification comes back as needs revision, you have not been refused. It is a reviewer asking for a specific correction, and your badge is left exactly as it was — neither granted nor removed.
Read the reason, fix what it asks for, and submit again.
Resubmitting means starting a new submission, not editing the old one. The rejected record is final and cannot be reopened or changed.
Your new submission starts as pending, exactly like your first one did.
The specific criteria reviewers apply are internal, so nobody can give you a checklist that guarantees approval. What consistently helps:
Support cannot overturn a decision or approve you directly. Verification decisions are made by reviewers, and the only route forward is a new submission that a reviewer approves.
Support also cannot expand on a reviewer's reasoning beyond the reason recorded on your submission. If you have been rejected several times and cannot work out why, contact support anyway — at that point it is worth having someone look rather than you guessing.
Before assuming something has gone wrong, make sure you are looking at the right verification. Silky Road has several, and they are independent: identity, email, phone, domain, funds and LinkedIn. Being rejected for one says nothing about the others, and holding one badge does not satisfy another.
If a screen says you are not verified while you believe you are, you are most likely looking at a different badge from the one you completed.
