At SilkyRoad.net, we aim to provide a smooth and secure marketplace for both buyers and sellers. However, in rare instances, a dispute may arise regarding the transaction process or the nature of the assets being transferred. Our Dispute Resolution Process exists to address concerns when either party no longer wishes to proceed with a sale.
Once payment has been completed (e.g., via PayPal or another agreed payment method) and funds have been released, a dispute cannot typically be initiated or resolved unless both parties agree to reverse the transaction —meaning the buyer returns the assets and the seller refunds the payment.
This grace period allows both parties time to communicate and decide whether to proceed.
Disputes can be initiated from the “Complete My Deal” tab in the Deal Completion Area.
Either the buyer or the seller can start the dispute process.
The initiating party submits the dispute and explains their concerns.
The other party has 72 hours to respond.
SilkyRoad.net will review the case and assist in resolving the matter.
Communication about the dispute will take place within the Deal Completion Area.
SilkyRoad.net may ask for further details to clarify the situation.
Disputes can be cancelled at any time by the initiating party or by SilkyRoad.net if deemed appropriate.
If both parties agree to cancel the transaction, SilkyRoad.net will act upon confirmation received via support or email.
Disputes may be resolved in favor of either party or closed without fault, depending on the specifics of the case.
Unless one party has clearly violated SilkyRoad.net’s Terms of Service, disputes are generally resolved neutrally.
Repeated or excessive disputes may be seen as abuse of the platform and could result in account suspension or permanent ban. In such cases, SilkyRoad.net will issue a warning and provide guidance.
Ideal outcome.
Both parties agree on a resolution, possibly including a price adjustment.
SilkyRoad.net can assist in facilitating the agreed-upon terms.
If neither assets nor payments have been exchanged, the deal can be cancelled easily by mutual agreement.
If assets have been transferred but payment has not yet been released:
Both parties must agree to return the assets.
The seller must confirm they are satisfied with the return before a refund is processed.
Once agreed, SilkyRoad.net will assist in cancelling the deal, and the seller may relist the asset.
If one party fails to engage, their account may be subject to sanctions.
Timely communication is essential after a sale concludes.
If assets have been exchanged and the buyer and seller cannot agree on how to unwind the transaction:
SilkyRoad.net will recommend continued dialogue between the parties.
As a last resort, legal counsel or independent arbitration may be necessary.
For cross-border disputes, parties may consider contacting the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR): https://www.icdr.org/about_icdr
If you have any concerns or need to initiate a dispute, our Support Team at SilkyRoad.net is ready to assist. We are committed to fair and transparent resolution processes that protect both buyers and sellers.
We'll reply within a business day.
