All users need to complete identity verification before making or accepting a payment on Silky Road. This article provides guidelines to help you complete the identity verification process.
Start from the Deal Completion Area of your listing.
Alternatively, go to ‘Account Settings > Verification’ while logged into your Silky Road account.
The name on your identity document must match the name provided to Silky Road.
The photo should be bright and clear.
Position your head in the oval and follow on-screen guidelines.
Upload a photo of the back of your ID.
Ensure all corners of the document are visible.
Letters and characters must be clear and legible.
The ID must be valid for at least two more months and cannot be expired.
The photo cannot be edited, including cropping or masking details.
Enter your first and last name as they appear on the ID documents.
Ensure the information matches the documents exactly.
Select ‘Upload New Documents’ on the next page.
Select an ID type: passport, ID card, or driver’s license.
Take a bright, clear photo of the ID with all corners visible.
Include a photo of the back of your ID.
Ensure the image is more than 100kb or 300dpi.
Record a short video of yourself.
Take a selfie to complete the liveness check.
Follow on-screen instructions to ensure your face fits into the oval space.
Before submission, review and edit your uploaded documents.
Once satisfied, proceed to the next page for system review.
The review process usually takes 1 to 3 minutes, but can take up to 24 hours.
Your ‘ID verification status’ in the Deal Completion Area will update to a green check if successful.
If not updated within 24 hours, select ‘Verify ID Now’ again to address any issues and re-upload documents.
Buyers and sellers will only need to complete this process once.
