When you place a bid on an auction listing on SilkyRoad.net, it may show as “Pending”. Here’s what that means and what you can do about it.
Why is My Bid Pending?
On SilkyRoad.net, sellers must manually approve all bids before they become valid. This is done to help sellers verify and qualify buyers before allowing them to participate in the auction.
Manual Bid Approval (Default and Recommended)
All bids must be manually approved by the seller.
This gives sellers full control over who is allowed to bid.
Automatic Bid Approval (Optional)
Sellers may choose to automatically accept bids from most buyers.
However, new buyers or users with limited history may still require manual approval.
What Happens If a Bid Isn’t Approved?
If a bid remains in pending status for 72 hours without seller action, it will be automatically rejected.
Buyers with pending bids are encouraged to reach out to the seller directly via the listing’s private message thread to introduce themselves and confirm their legitimacy.
If your bid is pending, you’re not yet part of the auction.
Send a courteous message to the seller expressing your interest in the listing and asking for approval to bid.
Regularly review your Pending Bids to ensure you don’t miss out on serious buyers.
Approving a bidder allows their bid to become active and valid in the auction.
For additional help managing bids or bidder approvals, SilkyRoad.net’s support team is available to assist.
