Auctions on SilkyRoad.net can run for up to 30 days, during which buyers can place competitive bids. The current highest bid is always visible on the listing page, and new bids must exceed this amount.
To maintain quality and ensure buyer legitimacy, a seller must first approve a buyer before they are permitted to place a bid on the auction.
If an auction ends without a sale, the listing automatically moves into a post-auction negotiation phase, operating similarly to a classified listing. During this phase, buyers can click the “Make Offer” button to propose a price directly to the seller.
Classified Listings begin with an Asking Price, which serves as a starting point for offers and negotiations.
In post-auction negotiations, the listing displays an Indicative Price, which reflects the highest bid placed during the auction. This price acts as a reference point for incoming offers.
Accept – immediately completing the sale.
Counter – with a different price.
Reject – declining the offer outright.
Once an offer is accepted, the listing transitions into the Deal Completion Area, where the payment and asset transfer process begins.
