What your Silky Road balance is, where to find it, how to read your transaction history, and why a wallet showing zero is not always what it looks like.
Your Silky Road wallet holds a balance you can spend on Silky Road. It is not a bank account and not a stored-value service — it is a platform feature that holds an amount you can use here, and it is being phased out.
You cannot add money to it yourself, and it cannot be paid out to you. See Why deposits and withdrawals aren't available.
Open the Wallet page in your dashboard. You will see:
The eye icon next to the heading hides and shows the numbers. That is display-only and does not change anything.
The page re-checks your balance about every 30 seconds, and again whenever you switch back to the browser tab, so money arriving from a transfer appears without a manual reload.
A brand-new wallet showing $0.00 is normal. Your wallet is created the first time you open the page.
If you see Couldn't load your wallet, that is a loading failure, not a zero balance. The page says so explicitly rather than showing $0.00, because those two things mean very different things. Press Retry, or reload the page. If it keeps failing, contact support.
Similarly, if your history fails to load you will see an error rather than "No transactions yet". If you are reporting a problem, it helps support enormously to say which of the two you saw.
Your balance only ever moves for one of these reasons:
The history sits below the balance cards on the Wallet page, newest first. You can filter it by type and by status.
Each row shows a type, an amount, a description, a status, and your balance after the movement.
| Type | What it means |
|---|---|
| Transfer in | Someone sent you money |
| Transfer out | You sent someone money |
| Payment | You spent your balance |
| Refund | Money came back to you |
| Admin credit | Silky Road put money into your wallet |
Statuses are completed, pending, failed or cancelled. Money that has actually moved is completed.
You may also see deposit and withdrawal in the filter list. Those are left over from features that no longer exist, and nothing new can create them. If you have an old row of either kind sitting on pending, it will never complete — contact support rather than waiting.
The transaction history tracks money moving in and out of your balance. It is not a list of your purchases or sales. If you are looking for a deal you made, check your purchases and deals rather than the Wallet page.
A locked wallet can neither spend nor receive money, and the Transfer button will be unavailable. Your balance still displays normally. A lock is applied to an individual account — if yours is locked, contact support.
